Entry rules

A landlord must generally give 24 hours' written notice to enter, except in emergencies.

Repairs

The landlord must keep the unit fit for habitation and in good repair, meeting health and safety standards.

The RTB handles complaints and orders; the Residential Tenancies Commission hears appeals.

Security deposits are capped at half a month and held with interest.
